I need to get out more. Tonight I spent two hours with some girl friends for some drinks. Just two hours - so short!! But It was so much fun. I forgot what it was like to go out w the girls!! I need to do this on a monthly basis for reals. Sometimes I just need a break from being "mommy!" hehe

Say goodbye to bulky travel high chairs! The only con is that it doesnt work very well with chairs with tall backs.

I have a vitamix and the baeba baby food maker.. The vitamix can only do larger batches, and while it does a great job with steaming and reheating, the baeba baby food maker doesn't really puree very finely. I think the babybullet could be really good for making smaller batches of food that I just want to refridgerate and not freeze... hmmm???
A peaceful, nice Friday turned stressful right at the end of the day!!!!! Ugh. Hated it.
Hubby gave me a reall nice massage shoulders to toes to make me feel better. He's the best.

I'm gonna miss my nanny. Tomorrow is her last day. :(
We will take her out to lunch. Not sure where yet. I'm gonna miss her.... We have grown so close. I feel kind of like an older sister to her... Who knew one could grow so attached to their nanny?!
Ds mom will watch Hana until mid July. I need to find someone new. Sigh... I hope I find someone good!!!!
Hung out w minhee today after work. She's so pregnant. Gonna pop any day now. We went to BE and picked up her combi stroller/car seat then we walked around . Had dinner at nordstrom cafe then I dropped her home. Had to ask her bldg manager to help with the stroller cuz I did not want her to carry that!!!

Another fun evening.
Hung out with Thi after dinner w hubby. Baby is so mellow, happy, and EASY!!! I can take her pretty much anywhere and nine times out of ten shell be in a good mood the entire time.
Yesterday was our one year wedding anniversary! Hubs made me wear a blind fold and drove all over the place. It kept me guessing where we were going. We ended up at chef mavros right by our house! Lol! It was a fun evening. I'm so lucky to be married to him!

Mama, baby and I attempted to go to farmers market this morning but it started to pour so we had breakfast at kahala mall instead. We bought ingredients for lunch at wholefoods and went home. When eleven rolled around I went over to her house to cook. At noon my brothers family and hubs came by and we all ate. Then we went to the park with the babies. Then I took a nap with baby.
Then we met up with I & N for dinner in waikiki. Then we went to hubs nieces highschool graduation party.
Now I'm home. What a long day!!!
That was the first hawaiian style highschool graduation party I've ever been to. Baby's first birthday and highschool graduation parties are a HUGE deal over here.
Gotta start planning babys first birthday party. Its gonna be low key and simple. BBQ and onigiri and cake is good. Nothing extravagant.

We've been enjoying many get togethers with friends lately. 3 dinners and 1 breakfast in 2 weeks. We would have had dinner with Marcus &fam & yushi when they were in town but I was still sick so I had to cancel. It's my pet peeve when sick people show up to social events. I think it's very inconsiderate not to cancel when you are contagious. Yushi's wife is pregnant too. So more the reason.
It's great to get into this social rhythm. I really enjoy getting together with friends.
We've found a house that we both like. It would be a rental, not to buy. It's beautiful. I dream of baking scones, making home made lilikoi curd and hosting afternoon tea parties!!!!! I realized how much I want to host dinners and get togethers. Right now there is no space in our little apartment. I was focused too much on buying a house. Truth is, we dont want to live in ewa beach... We don't want to pay mpi, we don't want the commute.... I'd rather continue to save while renting a nice house that I LOVE. That way I won't be as impatient about finding a place asap cuz I'd already be happy with my living situation. I can take my time and save for a big down payment.
I want to host weekend breakfasts, nabe parties, couples dinners.... It's gonna be so awesome!!!!!!
I feel so excited!! I'm so glad I decided to pause on the pursuit to buy a home. It was seriously depressing me. High prices for piece of crap homes..... You get a much better home for less if you rent! Definitely a renters market for sure. I feel like there are so many nice homes to pick from now. The house I am in love with is $2950/month. It's kind of a lot but do-able omg...... The view!!!!!!! The patio!!!!!!!!!
